Copper Lies
by Alli Prince
One secret can lead to many lies…
If you make something, and then that something accidentally comes alive and destroys your entire town…would it be fair to say that you destroyed the town, or can we just blame it on the thing?
Lillian Booker is dying to experiment on the strange glowing rocks hidden inside her adoptive father’s workshop—but the professor forbid it before he left on his journey. As Lillian learns all she can about the stones without breaking the professor’s rule, she finds herself stuck between two worlds.
Will she live the life of a brilliant inventor or give up on her dreams and become a respectable lady instead? What will make her happy? Most importantly, which will prove to the professor that he didn’t make a mistake when he chose her?
When Lillian secretly builds a mechanical dragon, one mistake leads to another—the strange glowing stones collide with her creation and her dragon roars to life! Lillian must make a choice…lie and keep her dragon a secret or finally face the truth?
Will any of it matter anyway if the town’s already been destroyed?
What is a release team?
There was an idea called the Release Team Initiative. The idea is to bring together a group of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could. (Excuse the Avengers quote, I couldn’t resist.)
That’s what this is. I’m assembling a team of people who can do what I can’t—review Copper Lies on Amazon and spread the word!
Sometimes this is called a “street team” but since I’m not going to ask you guys to stand on the street corners and rave about my book, we’ll just stick with calling it a “release team” (that is until I come up with something cooler that isn’t a direct ripoff of The Avengers. 🙂 )
Here’s how it works:
1. Buy the book on Amazon
2. Read the book and leave a review!
3. Participate in our AMAZING Footprint Game for the chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card!
It’s just that easy!
Sounds like fun! I’m in!

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t want to buy and read the book but still want to spread the word?
I would love that! You can still participate in the games for a chance to win the prizes.
*You do need to be in the United States to receive the stuff in the mail. If you’re outside of the USA, I’d still love for you to participate, but I just won’t be able to mail you anything.
What kind of prizes are we talking about?
I’m talking stickers, free writing services, coffee, and of course, the golden snitch–a $50 Amazon gift card!
What if I don’t like the book?
You’ll forever crush my dreams…I’m joking!
That’s totally fine. This book isn’t for everyone. What matters the most to me is that you’re honest in your review, especially if you didn’t like it! I want the right people to connect with this. If you hate books with mechanical dragons, be honest about that so that when readers see your review and DO like mechanical dragons, they’ll know this book is for them! When I say I want an honest review, I mean it!
What happens if I sign up but then just don’t do anything?
You’ll lose a bajillion friend-points with me, but that’s about it.
When you fill out the box on this page, it’s not a legal contract. I’m just going to send you an email with more instructions. You can still decide it’s not for you at that point, and if it’s not, feel free to unsubscribe! I won’t hunt you down and call the police on you or anything.
