Call It Consequences
Is this the next Wrinkle in Time?
What does it take to fix the past?
Grief and hope at war, bitterly alone even though she’s surrounded by people who would die for her…
Lorraine’s mom is dead. She was killed in a failed time travel experiment led by Lorrain’s father eight years prior.
This is Lorraine’s life now, and there’s nothing she can do to fix it…until her child-self appears in her bedroom and asks Lorraine for help with something impossible: find a way to go back in time to save their mom.
Lorraine is thrown into the deep end as she attempts to fix everything—the TIME machine, her relationship with her dad, and most importantly, the accident that ended her mom’s life.
With only her loyal boyfriend for help, how will she ever accomplish what her genius parents never could? More importantly, will she be able to keep it a secret from the strange government forces following her? Will she keep it a secret from her father?
Join Lorraine on a wild ride against government forces and mega-corporations, against herself, and against time itself. When the time comes, whose life will she give in exchange for her mother’s?

I’m leaping out of my bed as I come to consciousness. My legs are tangled in the covers. The sheets, soaked with sweat, cling to me like an octopus’s tentacles. They wrap around my legs, my arms, my throat—choking me, drowning me. I grab them—throw them off—gasp. The room spins. I stumble across the marble-tiled floor. A blanket of sleep is still wrapped around my brain. The dream still has its claws in me, my back, my temples.
Blood pounds in my ears.
You’re dreaming, Sebastian. You’re dreaming.
I throw open the bathroom door and slam my hand onto the light switch. I blink rapidly as I’m temporarily blinded. Black dots dance in my vision, and there—past my harrowed, sickly reflection
—she stands.
Her eyes are tachyon blue.
