Call It Consequences
What would you do if your 12-year-old self showed up and told you that you had to travel back in time to save your dead mother’s life?
Lorraine’s mother died almost a decade ago, and her life has been spiraling out of control ever since. If it’s not the grief or her aloof father who won’t give up his pointless time travel experiments, then it’s the mysterious man in black who always seems to be watching her.
Does that mean it’s up to Lorraine to fix everything? Lorraine’s an artist, not a mathematician. With only her unwitting boyfriend for help, how will she ever accomplish what her genius parents never could? More importantly, will she be able to keep it a secret from the strange government forces following her?

But wait… What is a release team?
It’s pretty simple, actually. A release team is a group of people that get a bunch of cool stuff in exchange for leaving an honest review of the book on release day. What sort of stuff? The physical copy at an extreme discount and before anyone else, for one. 😉 There’s more, of course, but let’s keep the mystery alive, huh?
Come January 21st, you’ll do the one thing I can’t—Review Call It Consequences on Amazon on release day!
Here’s how it works:
1. You pre-order the e-book from Amazon at a special, discounted release team price. Once the team is in place, the e-book will go back to its regular release price.
2. I send you an e-book now, and then also mail you a special pre-release print edition of Call It Consequences, and some other really cool stuff!
3. You read the book and prepare an honest review to leave on Amazon on the day the book releases.
4. Between now and then, we’ll post about it online and get the hype up! I have a few things in mind, and there’ll definitely be some cool prizes involved. 🙂
5. On release day, you’ll get your Kindle book from Amazon, too!

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I get?
You pay a few bucks to pre-order the book from Amazon, and then you get the e-book, a print book, and some cool freebies. Altogether, you pay a special, extremely discounted price, and you’re going to get about $30 worth of stuff.
It’s important that you pay the discounted price so that your review will show up as an “Amazon Verified Purchase.” Or else I’d just give it all to you for free.
*You do need to be in the United States to receive the stuff in the mail. If you’re outside of the USA, I’d still love for you to participate, but I just won’t be able to mail you a physical copy or anything. You’ll still receive an ARC of the book.
What kind of swag are we talking about?
Now, we wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise, do we? Let’s just say I am SO excited to give you guys these things. 🙂
What if I don’t read e-books? Why would I pre-order one?
For our purposes here, it doesn’t really matter if you don’t read e-books. When you join the team, you’re going to get an e-book copy AND a print edition. If you don’t want the e-book, you can give it away to someone else (and encourage them to review it too!)
Whether you actually read the e-book or the print edition, you can still leave a review. Because you ordered it from Amazon, your review will show up as an “Amazon Verified Purchase” even if you actually just read the print version you received from me.
What if I don’t like the book?
I’d ask what’s wrong with your taste in literature. (For legal reasons this is a joke.)
That’s totally fine. This book isn’t for everyone. What matters the most to me is that you’re honest in your review, especially if you didn’t like it! I want the right people to connect with this. If you hate books with time travel, be honest about that so that when readers see your review and DO like books about time travel, they’ll know this book is for them! When I say I want an honest review, I mean it!
What if I can’t leave a review on release day?
Circumstances happen. It’s best if you can leave a review on January 21st. That helps the book to reach more people. But I understand that stuff comes up. If you can’t leave a review on release day, please definitely leave a review by February 1st.
A good batch of honest reviews is really important to me and really helpful for the book. When you join the team, it’s important that you do leave a review.
Do I have to come to anything else or do anything else?
When you sign up, you’re agreeing to definitely leave a review on Amazon on (or near) release day.
Everything else is optional. If you don’t want to do anything else, that’s fine. But I think it’ll be fun.
What happens if I sign up but then just don’t do it?
You’ll lose a bajillion friend-points with me but…that’s about it.
When you fill out the box on this page, it’s not a legal contract. I’m just going to send you an email with more instructions. You can still decide it’s not for you at that point, and if it’s not, feel free to unsubscribe!
When you tell me that you pre-ordered the book, I’m going to spend some money to send you a bunch of really cool stuff.
At that point, it’d be pretty lame not to take five minutes and leave a short review on Amazon. But, again, if you don’t, you’ll only lose friend-points. I won’t hunt you down and call the police on you or anything.
